Not much to report today. I injured my foot the other night when I got out of bed in the middle of the night. My leg was asleep or something, so I fell, and I think I've broken my toe. It's not hurting as much now but it's still quite tender. Plus there's still some swelling and a lot of bruising...ew.

So due to that, I'm kinda forced to keep off my feet, and I've been working on my knitting. I think I will actually make my deadline of finishing the tennis sweater by tomorrow! I already knitted the neckband and am now working on the seaming. It did take me almost an entire movie just to sew on one sleeve tho...but that's due to all the sleeve cap shaping. Pics of that tomorrow, if I get it done. Then I need to find a new main project, which I think may be a shawl out of Joann Sensations Rainbow Boucle yarn...for my aunt's bday.

In work news, I finished my 5th week of training. While I still have one more week to go, it's not lecture. We get to actually process and ask questions and stuff for most of the week, with some speakers and a luncheon thrown in. So that'll be something new. Then after that we move buildings (cause our desks aren't ready) and work in another training room, then we finally get to go to our desks. Fun stuff...

Well the cute lil puppy is gone. We found her owner Monday and she was picked up late Monday night. Early Tuesday morning we had a power outtage, so I ended up getting up extra early for work. I was plenty exhausted thay day!

Also on Tuesday, I finished reading Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince and Son of Rosemary. The former was great (of course), but the latter was perfectly dreadful. As if the boring plot wasn't enough, the ending was completely pathetic. Argh! I may still have to make a point to see the movie tho, just to torture myself.

In crafting news, I am nearing the end of the second sleeve for my sweater. Then I just have to sew it up and work the neck. Hopefully I will have it done by the end of next Monday (my day off).

I went out to half-price books today and picked up 4 new books (for under $20!), so I am off to either read more HP5 or start a new book. Hopefully more exciting stuff another day!

Look at the cutie pie I found this morning! My mom and I were driving to Kohl's and we were cutting through the medical center to avoid traffic (since it's closed on Sundays), when I yelled "STOP!". She hadn't noticed, but 2 puppies had run in front of our car, with noone around to claim them. Someone was coming from the other direction so we jumped out and held them til the person passed, then tried to figure out whose dogs they were. None of the other passersby claimed them, and when we drove around nearby houses noone there was looking for missing pups. So now my aunt has the other dog (a chihuahua) while we are keeping the Basset Hound, til someone claims them. If noone does (hopefully), we will keep them both! I have named her Daisy (as in Daisy Miller). I've always wanted a Hound Dog...so this seems like fate! :)

In other news, I got a new computer last Monday...my first laptop! I got a great deal on it at Circuit City (booo to Best Buy) and financed it with no interest for a year. I was going to just pay for it, but I decided to use that money for interest bearing debt and just finance the pc. I love it tho, so nice and portable. And no errors yet!

Last Sunday I spend the day at the Great Lakes Medieval Faire, which was a lot of fun. I got some elf ears and horns which I wore around. I also bought a pretty ring and some funky earrings, which I wore of course. Afterwards we went to the movies, and I still wore my garb. We saw Fantastic Four, which was fun, funny, but kinda short. I did like it a lot tho!

I also have plans to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory soon, and I can't wait! I have been waiting for that for forever!

Whew! I'm pooped after all that. More at a later time ;)

Yesterday I went to see War of the Worlds after work. I wasn't really that jazzed about the movie beforehand, and definitely not a fan of Tom Cruise. But it was pretty entertaining and visually stunning. I must say I was disappointed in the ending...and I can't say anymore without spoiling it at least a little. I can def see why people were terrified when they first heard it tho.

I had a very busy weekend, going to 2 cookouts (one on Sunday and one on Monday). On the 4th I also watched a parade and got sunburnt (ew!) and played some Texas Hold'em and lost (ew for losing, but fun to play!) I actually came in 2nd in the 2nd game...tho I was superduper short stacked. I managed to come back to about 75% as many chips as the leader. Then I went all in with the best hand and lost on the turn.....boo, hiss! Oh well, it was family and all in fun :)

Yesterday I got a tax refund check I had been waiting for (I amended my 2003 tax refunds) AND I get paid tomorrow, yeeha! This weekend I have plans to go to a medieval faire, so I will def have some bucks to blow there ;)

That's all for me! Hopefully more crafty related content when I have more time and energy. I have a test at work tomorrow and need to be rested up for it...so time to sleep and mebbe read a bittle.
